well built sounds great

I have an old Sony amp that really can handle 1ohm 2ohm, not like new cheap amps. The heat in Nebraska is giving the submarines a hard time. It looks like it might hold up.

Pros
  • Works great for me
Cons
  • Makes me nervous

Good speaker in a component subwoofer

Bought to replace an exploded scar. It sounded good but I sold my car shortly after buying this speaker so I can't give an honest review. Although while I was using it, it sounded fine.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • There are new competitors

doesn't sound like I wanted the bass, it doesn't have the bass, I knew that it should stay with SONY, but no, you had to TRUST BOSS. uhh. so damn disappointed in himself for supposed to have bass and a louder voice than wtf beats!

Pros
  • understandable even with the old ones
Cons
  • something is wrong

Works great for normal people

I have a 10" DVC in a standard B-Box truck cab with 175 on each coil, with Kenwood centers and trebles and it sounds great , the combination of the extra case surprises me with its bass range, i don't win a contest but am satisfied,,, ps everyone in the car audio industry lies about watts, at extreme levels.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • For seniors

Boss Audio 20+ years

I've been using Boss since I was a teenager, my dad always used Boss Audio. It's not competition gear, but it's definitely the best gear out there, dollar for dollar. I do competitive level sound builds and would recommend this product to anyone except non-competitive level.

Pros
  • Easy Install
Cons
  • Disappear

YOU GET WHAT YOU PAY!

You get what you pay for. The sub started rattling 48 hours after installation and the recommended "breaking-in" procedure (in all my years of installing car radios I've never heard of such nonsense). I threw the dice at them since it was only $30. I got maybe 30 hours of use from them lol. $1 an hour lol. That this sub is rated in watts in RMS and peak is completely fraudulent. I will definitely spend a little more and get a foosball subwoofer! Too bad I didn't take the time to read the…

  • Best in class

  • Available in white only

KEEP IN MIND! About subwoofer

I am writing this review for those who are persistent enough (like me) to buy this subwoofer even after reading other 1 star reviews. I've been installing a car audio system for 10 years now and I've never had a subwoofer that burns voice coils so quickly. I hooked up this subwoofer to a BOSS Armor 2000 amp. The amp never went over half gain and still decided to burn out. I've run it at 2 ohms, 4 ohms and even tried 8 ohms. At 8 ohms I didn't see any smoke or other signs of the coil melting…

Pros
  • Decent performance
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Are they worth it? To be sure!

I've ordered 12 of these subwoofers in the last year because people keep wanting to buy my system when they hear about it. None of the 12 subwoofers have ever had a blown voice coil, and trust me when I say they play at high volume all the time. Here's a little tip for those interested in rocking a drum kit at an incredible price. I recommend buying two or more of these subwoofers depending on how much space you have in your car. If you have a truck with a cab, 2 of these subwoofers will punch…
