Worst speaker I have ever bought. I used a 1200w amp and only used 30% of the power and the speaker blew out in less than 15 seconds. The build quality of the speaker wasn't up to scratch either.

Two subwoofers are more than enough to get the job done. I use a sealed box which gives more room in my trunk and packs a nice punch when the bass hits. Each subwoofer is rated at 2100 watts and 1050 RMS so make sure they are properly matched to the amplifier. When connecting, be sure to check the resistance of the amplifier. I'm using a 4000w class D monoblock rated at 1 ohm. great product again.

I bought these subwoofers a month ago, I just hooked them up to a 1000w power amp that is running almost to the limit. I noticed that the speakers started to sound weaker and as I looked at them the spider started to separate from the basket. Considering the speakers are labeled 1050W RMS, even with the amplifier maxed out, that's 1000W between two of these speakers, which shouldn't cause the Spider to disconnect.

Worked great for a few hours after installation. I hooked 2 of these up to an amp that shouldn't be able to blow one out at max wattage. I wanted to request a refund since I received the protection plan but after the time and questions it wasn't even worth it. How about you request a refund, send me a receipt to ship it back, and I get a refund? I don't have to keep playing 20 questions to add a variation because it didn't even work for a day, that's why.

I had old DB subs but was looking for more power. I stumbled across them and decided to try the 10 inch 2100w subwoofers. Arrived late and took forever to install because the plastic decorations were too bulky for my box so I took them off and installed them but didn't deliver the sound promised. I hooked them up to a 1600w amp and they sound like the $5 bluetooth speaker you find at the checkout at Walmart. Always save for the best brand, Boss Audio let me down :(

No idea why all the bad reviews. I was scratching my head and thought I should write a review to help everyone. I really liked the sound of these Boss Phantom speakers. Was looking for a 12" but saw this offer on a 10 and bought a box/kit with a Boss amp a few years ago and couldn't resist the great price.
