Captain's chair: living room furniture

No instructions included. While it was easy enough to see which screw went where, trial and error put the chair together. However, do not attempt to assemble this chair yourself. The casters are already attached, making assembly difficult. Last but not least, the holes where you attach your back/arms to your legs have been covered with fabric and one hole has even been covered with a splint. The description was very accurate.

Pros
  • Non-sag spring seat
Cons
  • Nothing

started falling apart after less than a year

These chairs are nice but a bit short. Easily slides under a table or desk. The problem is that in less than 6 months one of the wheels broke and had to be removed. Then at around 9 months they started to wobble when you sat down. I had to force my son to tighten the bolts several times, but even with moderate use, they kept coming loose. You don't have to fix chairs every time you use them.

Pros
  • Same design available in black, with and without castors
Cons
  • Can hurt

Excellent quality for furniture

After doing a lot of research on wheelchairs we chose this chair for my 92 year old father to put at the table and also to replace his standard wheeled chair his desk. It is easy to assemble and has a very good finish and fabric. We were looking for a chair with casters that was more stable than a regular desk chair. Rolls easily on parquet and laminate. Has a great value for money and gives him more independence.

Pros
  • Black vinyl with brass hardware; Solid wood frame with mahogany finish
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

The best chair ever The best living room furniture ever

This is the best chair ever. It's easy to assemble, feels solid and the vinyl on the seat, armrests and backrest is of high quality. The ending is mediocre at best. It's a little lower than we'd like, but that's ok. For $103 I got what I paid for. From a distance it looks very nice and of high quality, on closer inspection you can see that it is cheaply made. If you only have $100 it will work, but if you can afford it spend a little more and get a much better chair.

Pros
  • Classic traditional style
Cons
  • I have a problem

Great chair for the price!

I bought 8 of these chairs for our poker/dining table. I was a bit worried about the height based on some of the other reviews. Although they sit a little lower than I would like, I really have no complaints. These chairs are perfect for our application. They are also almost perfect for our table. They were easy to put together. Unpacking took longer than assembly. I set up the assembly line and performed each step for each chair and then moved on to the next step. I think that sped up the…

Terrible purchase - very disappointed

The product came in slightly damaged packaging. Directions are terrible. There was a huge chip on the inside of the tree leg. Integers and screws do not match properly. I had to make some adjustments and use some of my own screws to screw the front of the armrest to the chair body. After putting everything together, I moved forward in the chair and one of the casters broke completely - I only weigh 146 pounds. However, I removed all casters and intend to use it without them, in fact it slid…

Pros
  • A versatile classic style chair for a desk, living room or conference room. roles included.

Mediocre, terrible to assemble, short chair.

Was looking forward to this chair to replace a broken computer chair. There is no such happiness. I opened the package, took out all the parts and laid them out ready to wait for the chair to be assembled. The first snag was that the instructions were very lacking on the direction in which the crossbars should be placed and if you're not careful you end up having to take them apart to put the pieces back together correctly. Also, some of the screws that came with the chair just didn't fit in…

Pros
  • Separate hand fitted brass nail head
Cons
  • Cord is shorter than other picks

Decent with some imperfections

I bought this chair because our desk is in our huge living room, not the office. I wanted a chair that was attractive and would go well with our living room. Here's what I like about this chair: Overall, it's a nice chair. I love the rivets and they are exactly as pictured. The quality is okay for the price, and it's good that there are wheels. Not shabby overall in the comfort department either. Assembly was easy, what I don't like about this chair: 1) It may have been an odd choice for a…
