Based on most of the reviews I was glad to try this belt. The ratchet mechanism works well, but nothing more. If you plan to be active in this belt, don't worry. The belt is very thin compared to most belts. The mechanism for attaching the strap end is not successfully designed. So in 2 years I have bought 4 ratchet straps from different suppliers. The first two I received had broken levers and had to be sent back. The third strap was fine except when it had to be loosened. Basically, you had to pull the entire buckle, and that pushed the other side of the buckle into your waist. It was very unusual. I really like the look of the belt and the sound the belt makes as you tighten it around your waist is oddly satisfying. I can't go back to regular straps now as I'm addicted to ratchet straps. My only minor complaint (which unfortunately deducts the star) is that the strap begins to warp even after only a few months. I feel like it doesn't have the strength to last for years or even decades like some of my old belts did. Despite the issues, I still highly recommend this belt.

Everything about this belt is perfect. From packaging to actually using the tape. I wear it to work 4 days a week for several months. By far the best belt I've ever had. Love these straps. They look great, the ratchet works great, it's a solid and nice material, and they're very affordable. I tend to overuse the straps and they have held up great - much better than the ones I've bought in stores.
