I had this sharpener for many years, never worked properly. I was looking for a replacement when I came across this one and thought I should warn people about it. It tapers to the end, but so off-center that half the point is wood. Therefore, you must hold the pen correctly, otherwise it will not write.

I've had this sharpener for at least 15 years, maybe longer. I saw 3 guys graduating from college in a house with a sharpener and now he's in grad school with me. Yes, it's just a sharpener, but for me it's part of the game.
