The camera is not waterproof

The camera is not waterproof. When the rainwater from the back of my truck flooded it for the first time, the camera went off. Maybe it would have worked if it was mounted on the tailgate above the water outlet and not on a trailer.

Pros
  • Ideal for outdoor activities
Cons
  • Useless functions

Good rear camera

This is a great option for a rear camera. Various mounting options make it really versatile. Image quality is good. Not quite HD, but enough to see what's behind you. The installation is not very difficult and gives you the option to keep the policies or not. In general I am satisfied.

Pros
  • Easy to read control panel
Cons
  • Expensive

Good picture day or night

Multiple mounting options and camera resolutions drew me to this product. I installed this camera on my wife's 2004 Suburban with a Kenwood DDX5706S head unit. The picture is sharp and clear, no problems so far. I love that you just cut a shorted wire to disable the park lines. I did this and used Kenwood adjustable slings. I would say the resolution is comparable or even slightly better than my stock Ford backup camera. During my research, it turned out that this camera is also sold by…

Pros
  • Good product for the price
Cons
  • Some difficulties

Complicated assembly, few instructions

This is pretty decent quality and it's nice to have multiple mounting options. But the downside is that this "universal" camera will have universal flaws. I couldn't get the camera to fit in the center of the square body, which cropped the image a bit. The screws are also tiny, making it difficult to mount them

Pros
  • 5 different mounts: Metal square mount/Metal flush mount/Metal corner mount/Rubber flush mount/Flush license plate mount
Cons
  • Zero

a great idea. Video quality not the best

I bought this for my Jeep JK, I liked all the accommodation options and they were from good quality. The video from the camera isn't the best so I'll be back. Even if you use a hidden mount, the camera is simply held in place with rubber o-rings and pressure, it will still move when fully tightened. I think if the camera was upgraded it would be a great product.

Pros
  • Waterproof rating: IP68 / Viewing angle (D): 170 / Minimum illumination: 0.1 lux / 6VDC ~ 32VDC power supply
Cons
  • No power

waste of money. Most parts do not fit together.

Waste of money. Most fittings do not fit! This was one of the most frustrating cameras I've installed and I've installed 3. Most fittings do not fit the camera properly. The description says the metal mount is upside down, but the camera doesn't fit in that way. The square bracket does not fit, so the back is attached. I've rotated the camera in all directions and it won't screw in because the hole on the back doesn't line up properly with the lanyard on the camera. This camera's angle of view…

Pros
  • 7.2 m (24 ft.) RCA video cable with trigger wire / 25 mm (0.984 in.) hole saw panel mount
Cons
  • Not secure
