BraceUP® Support Splints Arthritis Sprains Review

My thumb got caught in a heavy bag and dislocated; and then clamped onto a heavy bag again over the next 1-2 weeks, the same way, multiple times. I decided on one type of tire and got this one. better, but the center main strap works fine. I would have preferred it to be a little stiffer and a little more support at the base of the thumb in the palm area, but it works well enough.

I ordered this thumb brace for my wife who loves to knit and crochet. Too much of! Long repetitive movements cause her pain in the joints of her thumb. She tried another wrist/thumb brace. This time we chose BraceUp because of the two metal braces built into the padded thumb. They offer great support and won't move or slip out of position. * She sleeps in BraceUp so her wrist/thumb can rest and be supported for hours. She does not knit or crochet in BraceUp.

Many years ago I sprained my thumb badly. Guess who did it again. I was in pain all the time and couldn't lift anything heavier than a plate. I got this brace, wore it all day and went to bed that night and WOW what a difference. Now I only wear it when I've done too much or just need to rest. This tire definitely saved the day. Velcro at wrist and middle palm works well as straps Velcro changes direction through loop on splint. This does a pretty good job of preventing it from sliding up or down. A similar Meuller clamp serves the same function for the tip of the thumb loop to keep it in place. This brace does not have one, so any movement of the thumb during normal use will cause the strap to fall off the thumb, rendering the brace completely useless. Excellent thumb brace after thumb fracture! I broke my thumb riding an MTN bike and wore pins and a cast (Bennett fracture) for a little over a month. Once they came out/removed I had to slowly move my hand again. I have purchased several more expensive braces and have found these to be the most comfortable and easy to use. This brace provides moderate wrist and thumb support. I've been wearing it for a week now and I can say it's helping. I have carpal tunnel syndrome and the beginning of thumb/hand arthrosis. The bandage is easy to put on and take off and is very comfortable. My most difficult adjustment to wearing is that it limits your arm's range of motion.
