Best in Window Treatment Hardware Disappointed

So I was hoping this would be a good buy but it wasn't. I hung very light curtains in the boys' room and they fell down twice. The second time, the corners of the window frame were torn off. I probably should have screwed them into the wall, but the whole purpose of buying them was not to poke holes in the wall. Definitely a finger 👎🏽

Great idea but a disappointment

The first install I installed worked great and took about 30 seconds. I was very excited. I started assembling the second of the pair and immediately, with very little effort, broke off a piece of metal that was meant to be included in the top of the window frame. This little piece isn't strong at all, it's not assembled/welded very well. So I had to use a screw (my own, not included) to get it into the wall the old fashioned way, which pretty much defeats the purpose of the purchase. However…

That would save me a lot of annoying hanging up curtains!

I have a sliding glass door that requires floor length curtains. I've tried using traditional hangers, each of which requires two screws directly into the wall. Firstly I couldn't get both screws in as it was partially blocked by the suspension itself! Second (and this is due to my lack of experience) the screw I was able to turn in just backed out because I didn't hit the bolt. Now I have an ugly screw hole and still no curtains.
