They are easy to install but the aperture is not large enough to enable IR night vision with XT2 cameras. I spent over an hour fiddling with the settings in the Blink app until I noticed that the blue and red lights were under a plastic cover. To fix this you will need to cut or file the plastic to reveal the light. I used a semi-circular rasp. Poor tech, but if you're comfortable, they're better than the mounts that come with cameras.

Great product with one complaint but not for most people. If you mount a camera in it you seem to lose some distance in your signal. Blink is known for its terrible range on these cameras, so be aware that these devices can reduce that range even further. So if your signal is edgewise, be aware that you may need to move your camera a little closer to use it. Otherwise great concept, well made product that I recommend.

Overall quality was not very good. The camera mount system is difficult to remove when the batteries need to be replaced and the instructions are useless. The mounting hardware is clearly of poor quality and is likely to rust badly in a humid environment. The threads on the shaft that attaches to the camera body are non-standard (neither metric nor inch), making installation difficult as the screw will not fit into the threaded socket. These brackets make changing the battery much easier! I am very happy with this purchase and wish the cameras came with them instead of the flimsy little mounts that came with the camera. I recommend them to anyone who has these cameras, even if they are indoors, simply for the ease of battery replacement. One of our three cameras dies every week (no response from Revain on that) and having these simple mounts is an absolute life saver as I have to recharge the batteries so often. GOT IT! DON'T

Update 31st August 2020: Downgraded from 5 stars to 3 stars although after 2 months it's still a great case for our Blink XT2 After use all exposed metal is covered in rust (obviously not built to withstand the weather. They seem to be built from the same materials as the others. However, they have a handy feature that allows you to install the mount.
