This is Brady genuine ribbon. When I first used it, I noticed that the thin white tape on top that transfers the white letters to the blue background doesn't automatically peel off like most other tapes I have. I say "most of the time" because this has happened to me before with another tape or two that I have. This shouldn't be a big problem with short labels, but with longer ones it should be. The actual product is hands down a 5 star -Product. The labels are durable, easy to read and relatively easy to apply. (If you have big hands or fat fingers, removing the label from the liner can be frustrating as there isn't much tab. Of course, the smaller the tab, the larger the label area.)
