If you are a tall woman with wide feet (I am very, very heavy), go one size down. I ordered size 9. They were at least a size larger and wide enough. Velcro is ok. I am returning them to get a size 8. I can see where these shoes slip off a narrow foot easily no matter what shoe size a smaller woman wears. If you have narrow feet then this is not for you.

Suitable for walks around the pool, in the locker room and in the water park. Too big to wear while swimming. I wear a size 10 in regular shoes and should have ordered a size down to fit better in the water. That's why I removed the stars. The rest of the product is well made. The tip will dig into the back of the heel if pulled too tight. Another reason to pay attention to the right size.

I followed the recommendation of others and ordered one size smaller. They fit pretty well, although I have to remove and reposition the velcro straps as I have a tall bridge. Good grip on the wet sides of the local pool and they also protect my feet from the pool's textured bottom when I'm doing water aerobics.
