Based on the Philips trimmer I assumed it was an update given Braun's reputation. While it does a decent job, there are several main reasons why it's disappointing: Performance: I'm still looking for something that has as much performance as some trimmers of choice. Update: No Support, I've tried to contact with no success. Avoid this product and use Philips, the best trimmer and customer service. The tip has cracked, I have had this razor for a little over a month and the tip just popped out and there is nothing I can do to keep it going. I bought a Braun BT5070 in June 2016 - 5 months ago. I've had facial hair for 50 years and have had numerous trimmers. This is by far the worst. If I could put a minus star, I would. It doesn't cut or trim my medium beard without having to go over the beard again and again.
