Challenging but great!

I have a very light hand so I have trouble with harder tips catching paper. I love how flexible this nib is, although I still struggled with ink flow. It seems I like more liquid ink - I use acrylic ink. I've tried cleaning it with toothpaste and soap, but the best thing is sticking it in a white potato for 10-15 minutes.

Pros
  • Expensive but decent
Cons
  • You can hurt yourself

Either super tricky or defective.

I LOVE the writing style this pen creates for other people. but after several attempts and several hours of frustration, I was absolutely unable to use this pen without large gaps in the flow of ink at each letter, let alone print an entire word or sentence on paper. I'd like to think I have a broken pen as I don't consider myself a beginner, no pen has ever given me problems like a blue pumpkin. If anyone has a suggestion, I'm all ears. Much luck!

Pros
  • This is amazing
Cons
  • Not trendy

Very flexible and fun to work with.

These tips are very flexible. They're great for large lettering or any time you just need a really wide stroke. The teeth are soft, so a little pressure makes a big difference in terms of shot width. Most reviews also mention that they are a bit iffy at times, mostly with thicker inks. I've found that to be the case, but applying a little lateral pressure to a prong (squeezing them together, not apart) I've found that burns most of the time. Definitely one of my favourites.

Pros
  • Short tip
Cons
  • Slightly torn

The pen came with crossed teeth and it doesn't work

I wanted this watercolor pen to be used to sign my paintings. I haven't had a chance to use it since I bought it and it's been in the box for quite a while. When I started using it, I saw that the top teeth were crossed and not aligned next to each other. They open up when I press the paper, but then they intersect again. Unfortunately, he just doesn't write, no matter what I do! The ink does not flow at all. Yes, I had a lot of ink and I completely covered the holes with it. I cleaned the tip,

Good calligraphy nib with flexible tip

This pen is difficult to master if you've only used sharp, inflexible or italic nibs before. I had to clean it 3 times with hot water, soap, saliva, fire and toothpaste before I got the right flow of ink (Speedball SuperBlack ink). However, the flexible nature will cause many bumps or ink stains if you are not careful and firm in your hands. My calligraphy has never looked so great that I've now (almost) figured out how to use it. It takes practice, but my letters look thick and thin, which is…
