For my sailboat I wanted more stainless steel clamps 316 but they are not marked 316. They are marked "300SS". In marine environments, 316 stainless steel has a significantly longer service life. I have many sizes of "Breeze" clamps that are marked "316" and they easily get a "5" rating! To avoid low ratings, please be more specific in your product description.

Item arrived in new condition, well packaged. I used this product on a black plastic pipe welded to a stainless steel hose fitting in a shallow well. The first collar broke when I tightened it with a hand wrench. The second worked fine. Time will tell as to the quality of the stainless steel used in these clamps. The previous clamps were rusted, resulting in a 30-foot leak.

When I first received them I noticed that they were stamped 'BREEZE' wore but the screw had a slight golden tint to it that suggested it was zinc or some other carbon steel coating.Then I checked it with a magnet - yes it was magnetic.But wait a little google research showed that some alloys SS can be "magnetic", especially 304 or 316 with "cold formed ./werkt" (meaning thread forming). I then did the salt water test, multiple immersions and salt water drying for 3-4 days with control samples…
