I bought and used it for 4 months with no problems and I liked it and without warning it just stood up and fell. So if you think it's worth spending $40 for 4 months, that's up to you, but I think it should last longer! My last brand lasted a year and I was disappointed! Makes a delicious pitcher of iced tea. I like strong tea, so using three family-sized Lipton tea bags, I run water through the tea leaves twice to get the perfect pitcher. I like using a teapot for a number of reasons, the main one being that it allows me to drink the strength of my tea. I also find brewed tea better than any mixture. I ordered this to replace our Mr Coffee machine which blew up due to an exposed cord. This takes up more space but looks better and is easier to keep clean. . It seems a little fragile, but it wasn't very expensive either. We use it every day because we don't actually drink soda, just a lot of iced tea, so it's a staple for us. I bought this machine to replace my regular Dunkin' Iced Coffee. It's an attractive machine and looks great on a tabletop.
