You get what you pay for. It doesn't heat as it should, but what can you expect from a cheap one? I bought it for our guest suite so it will do a decent job in a pinch. But it's probably better to spend the extra $10-20 and get something you can count on.

Good quality irons but it seems like it takes LOTS of passes to get wrinkles out of my clothes. The steam function works on a "push or miss” principle and the trigger must be able to return to the off position at will using a spring. It's great for the process, but don't expect fancy features.

When my Black and Decker heavy duty iron died I needed an affordable replacement. When I opened the package I was alarmed; The iron was about 1/2 the size of my old one and very light. But once I put it to use I found it great for everyday use. I would not recommend it for heavy fabrics or large sewing projects.

Purchased in April, seems ok for normal ironing. THEN he turned on the steam function with one setting and burped! Now there are brown stains on the ironing board and the skirt I edited is NOT machine washable! Because of this, I learned the hard lesson of not going cheap and saving up for something that works and lasts the past seven months. It's obviously too late to return this rubbish, so the next best place is the dumpster. Thanks to Brentwood for waste quality control.

I bought the iron 3 months ago. Water pours out, soaking the clothes I'm ironing and my ironing board. It worked fine when I first got it, but I would expect even a twenty dollar flat iron to last more than 3 months. Most of our clothes are permanently ironed and only a few items need ironing.
