Description of Brightwell Aquatics Caridina Mineral Element

Establishes an optimal mineral balance in water that has been purified (reverse osmosis, deionization, distilled etc.) or is exceedingly-soft (well water in forested regions) for all freshwater shrimp aquaria. Provides a beneficial ratio of potassium, calcium, magnesium, and sodium, elements which are vital to the overall health and osmoregulation of fishes, invertebrates, and many aquatic plants. May be used to establish water parameters in aquariums filled with purified water, to replenish depleted elemental concentrations in tanks that rarely receive a water change, and to re-establish beneficial mineral concentrations following large water changes. Formulated utilizing extensive data on the ionic composition of river water from several tropical forested and riverine regions.

Disappointing Mineral Supplement for Shrimp Tanks

This product failed to provide adequate water clarity in my shrimp tank. While the packaging is attractive the contents are subpar. It is not worth the money spent and I will seek other pet supplies for my aquarium. .

Pros
  • Nice packaging
Cons
  • Poor water clarity

Best Aquarium Water Treatment

I bought this from FlipAquatics but thought I'd leave a review here too. I use SaltyShrimp GH/KH+ for my Neocaridina aquarium and this material is MUCH EASIER TO USE than solid remineralizers. I can confirm that the pump is indeed leaking, but if you shake it back and forth and turn it over, it's not a problem. To be honest I'm buying a 2 liter container because I don't plan on ever going back. It's a little less cost-effective than SaltyShrimp, but the convenience is more than worth it.

Pros
  • Fish and Aquatic Animals
Cons
  • So far so good
