Very good safety bar

This is a great safety bar! I have bought both Brinks and Master Lock and Brinks is slightly better than Master Lock. It has a wider top and feels a little more durable. But I didn't like the light gray color.

Pros
  • Consistent test results
Cons
  • Some flaws

Choose another option

Do not buy. breaks easily! This was my replacement after the 1st broke. I have the 1st about 4 months, the 2nd about 4 months - both broke their heads. They can still be used once broken but I'm really disappointed with the workmanship of this product!

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Lots of stuff

Reliable, easy to assemble

Used on sliding patio door. The good thing is that the rounded end fits into the patio door track and the other square end is rubberized so you can push it in securely. It has buttonholes all the way up/down so it was easy to adjust to fit my door with a few quick clicks. The part you can use on the door knob is detachable, so I don't use that feature. It is also very easy to put on and take off.

Truly the best for paranoiacs!

I like this article because I just moved into an apartment for the first time and I am a very short person. Hacks have always been my biggest paranoia so this supplement is absolutely amazing! My friend helped me check out, I locked it with a key and put it inside. He opened the door, but it wouldn't open even with his full weight! Truly the best for paranoiacs!

Confused and disappointed

The leg or base was disassembled and the 'pieces' of the base did not match - the ball joint was too wide and too short to even fit in the base. I used my previous purchase of the same commercial door guard from Brink and put together a serviceable guard. I am impressed. I have given 5/5 on my previous purchases. I didn't want to try sending it back and waiting again; and I didn't want to go out during the pandemic. Very disappointed this time.

Pros
  • Doorstop
Cons
  • Crumpled packaging

Safe, but not safe

Brinks is well known for its security and the bar is solid. BUT unfortunately it is not safe to touch. There is a warning on the packaging that it is important to wash your hands after touching the bar as it contains dangerous chemicals. Safety should include human health, Brinks. I would never have bought this bar if I had known it is not safe to even touch. Revain must provide this important information prior to the completion of any purchase.

Pros
  • Office products
Cons
  • No performance

This item does not work as intended.

Unfortunately I bought two of these for a family member's front and back doors. This element is easily displaced when trying to open the door when installed. I didn't have to push very hard at all, and the door didn't hold securely or close at all. I tried this item simply because of the Brinks name, not to mention that it says 'commercial door guard'. I'm not a strong person and to be able to move the bar and force the door open well let's just say it wasn't worth the money! I think I'll give…

Pros
  • Furniture fittings
Cons
  • Something else
