I specifically asked for the remote control and was told YES and it was never really on or any wires. A pretty tired look. I already had a combo VCR that looks better, but I didn't want a universal remote as it doesn't usually work. Disappointed and deceived.

Worst POS of any electronics I've bought from Amazon. The front was scratched all over and had dirt and nasty stuff on it that I had to scrape off. I took it to a friend at Staples, he disassembled it and the dust was worse than I've ever seen, even living in an average dust bowl in Texas. There was no cable or remote control. Will never buy from this seller again and neither will my friends. Doesn't even deserve one star.

I ordered this item because I still have the VHS in perfect condition along with my DVDs which are still brand new. I wanted to use this item in my bedroom. I plugged it in, all VHS tapes play fine, only DVDs won't play. I've been constantly told to check my DVD, but all my DVDs are new, have scratches and are in excellent, good condition. Therefore I am returning this item. I hope you understand my point of view. Thank you Edward Covarrubias.
