Instructions are not correct for cider, you will also need to purchase a scale

No instructions included. There is a link on the box that takes you to the Brooklyn Brew Shop website for instructions and it is incorrect. The kit comes with a 1 gallon bottle and bags of yeast each containing 5 grams. You are told to use the whole package of yeast per 1 gallon of cider and that is incorrect. The package directions say to use 1 gram per gallon. So you also need to buy an accurate kitchen scale to measure 1 gram. So if you follow the instructions on the site, it will come out…

HUGE HANDLE, just look for a better and cheaper "set " from your local beer supplier

is a HUGE fake. Head to your local brew supply store and buy the whole set for $15 or less. Also, you get poor quality parts (plastic screw caps with misaligned threads. They're difficult to screw on instead of a simple rubber stopper) and their website instructions require you to run a tube from the top of the jar into a bowl of sanitizer for a few days instead of just using the gateway; who wants to work on a scientific project for days on the kitchen table (or on the floor where a dog would…

Great kit, great instructions.

Excellent set, average instructions. This kit has everything you need and a link to the instructions you need to do what you want. However, ignore their instructions on the yeast website and follow the instructions on the Top Star Yeast Pack for yeast activation. Also, one packet of yeast can be used for 5 gallons of one of your poisons, so you don't have to toss it all in unless you're getting something low in potassium sorbate (ideally you don't want potassium sorbate, but you want an…

The kit as it is is quite easy to use and comes with everything you need.

The instructions on the box are very simple and they encourage you to go to their website for more information and videos. The kit as it is is pretty easy to use and comes with everything you need to make cider other than the cider/juice itself. I finished and bottled my first batch and had bad thoughts about it.
