Good product, not disappointed.

Bought for home. One daughter is a first-grader, the second is a preschooler, mortally offended that her adult sister is given such cool color pictures. Trying to draw them. Now everything goes directly to the scanner and is printed. The quality is indistinguishable from the original. But the photographs are not his at all. Grainy, no midtones, etc. But it won't dry out. Before that, our epson died, which rested from the works of the righteous for a month, and never got out of a spin. The heads

Pros
  • Convenient wireless printing, printing from mobile devices. Cartridge without chip. Separate hopper and shaft. Refueling is easier than a piece of cake :)
Cons
  • 1. Printing is clearly not for photographs. Graphics, postcards, clearly drawn pictures, tutorials - above all praise. 2. Thick paper is not pulled out of the lower tray. It is necessary to put in a folding front tray and open the back cover. If it is in a limited space, then this is a problem. With the trays folded down, it immediately occupies the entire table. 3. Linux driver just . Half of the settings are missing. There are kryakozyabras in the name of the paper. This is the Linux way in a brotherly way. Apparently, from their point of view, Linuxoids must suffer. Or write your own drivers.

There are disadvantages, but the product is usable.

They took to replace two Canon LBP 5050 color lasers - each served 4 years. Chipless cartridges and "easier than pie" refills (see earlier reviews) played a decisive role in choosing the Brother HL-L3230CDW printer. We use it for printing manuals when working with preschoolers - super quality is not required there. I caught an unpleasant surprise from marketers together with programmers - like, look what a cool printer, non-chip cartridges, everything changes easily, but in fact it turns out…

Pros
  • Print speed. The print quality for a laser printer is good. Two-sided printing. Easy Wi-Fi connection. Unchip cartridges. You don't have to disassemble much to fill the toner. The design makes it easy to change any wearing parts.
Cons
  • 1. The main drawback is that even though the cartridges are not chipped, you can reset the toner counter for each starter cartridge only 1 time! And then - we go to buy new cartridges. There is not much information on the reset method on the Internet, but the one that is often not relevant. There is no special wheel on the starter cartridges, which is used to "reset" the toner counter on "foreign" videos. In general, I could not find information about the second reset. The unpleasant thing is that the printer, at the end of the toner (in its opinion), simply "blurs" and does not print anything. On the old Canon LBP 5050 with chip cartridges, it was better in this regard - even with "crutches", but it was possible to print (put out the "fire"). 2. Sometimes it gives an error - something like "there is no paper in the printer", although there is a whole mountain of it. You have to correct the paper several times before he continues to print. 3. Not all drivers can correctly set up duplex printing - it does not respond to the choice of binding location (top, side). 4. The print settings in the app on the iPhone are rather poor and do not provide enough flexibility. It is not possible to print multiple photos or documents on one sheet. There is no image brightness correction. You have to do this in third-party applications, which is not convenient, or put up with the fact that the print is dark + increased toner consumption.

The printer is cheap but the cartridges are fake

I bought this printer about a year ago. Then, when their original cartridges (tiny) ran out in August, I bought replacement cartridges here on Amazon for about $70. They worked great and everything was fine. Then, one day in February, the printer showed "out of toner" and no amount of setting changes could fix it. Although they were still more than 80% full. After talking to Customer Service B for a few hours I had to buy brand new cartridges ($330 which I had to pay) and they worked. Mixing…

Excellent, high-quality mid-range color laser printer.

Really good printer. Works with minimal setup right out of the box. Installation was quick and I was able to easily set up the printer for my network and workflow. The built-in web server allowed me to set up the printer using my laptop instead of a small LCD screen (which was pretty efficient on its own). Prints fast and with high quality. Using Eco mode and Quiet mode slowed down the print speed, which greatly impacted the printer's noise (Quiet mode was as quiet as a typical inkjet printer).

  • Complete set

Love-hate this printer

First off, this is my first laser printer I've ever had and I use it A LOT (I homeschool my kids and print a TON of resources). It's fast, it has decent image quality (not inkjet quality, but it's fine for what we need). I love that it has an automatic two-sided printing feature that makes printing my kids' workbooks quick and easy. I liked all my brothers printers from the past so I decided to try this one. I've had it for a month now and have printed 1100 pages. HOWEVER, I HATE that this…

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Quick guide

Big, works great! for printer

11-10-20202020 Crap but my printer works great. It also prints quickly. We probably print about a page a day, sometimes 10. So that's about 400 pages, maybe in a year. I don't have any paper jams or issues that I've had with all the other printers I've had to deal with. I work in technical support, so I deal with broken computers and printers all the time at my company. 1-3-2020Two and a half months later I still love it. We're probably a long way from the 1800 pages or whatever it was before…

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • Requires outlet

You get caught and blackmailed

My complaints are not specific to this printer or even to the brothers' printers. But it still applies because it's part of the experience of using that particular printer. Corporations are just out of control when it comes to holding you hostage over their ridiculously overpriced consumables. This has always been the case, but they are always improving their technology and this is by far the worst printer. After about 800 pages it stops working until you replace the toner with a new genuine…

Pros
  • It's all right!
