This product is not worth the investment if you are in the market for a quality brooder. Pet supplies shouldn't be this poorly made. My analysis of this product showed that it lacks durability and reliability. The pros are that it is galvanized, so it withstands rust, but the cons are the thermostat is inconsistent and the heating element is ineffective. Save yourself the hassle and look elsewhere for a better bird brooder solution.

Works very well. My temp was supposed to stay at 100 degrees which is as high as the thermostat can handle so it was GREAT. Many Thanks.

I have an old stainless steel Brouwer incubator that I've been trying to use to keep the temperature constant. This waffle was my last resort before I gave up. I've tried other waffles and none worked. After all, this keeps a constant temperature. It costs a little more, but it's worth the price for a bit of brains. Also, I now have a great old antique incubator that works great.
