Great competitor to Garmin and Wahoo at low cost

I've only had the chance to use it twice. But still easy to use and the battery life seems good. I haven't used the track tracking feature yet. I'm a small business advocate and the Bryron can definitely hold its own against Garmin or Wahoo for a fraction of the cost. It's not top-of-the-line anyway, so it can't be compared, but it's above entry-level Garmin or Wahoo models and just below mid-range models.

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • Good mostly, but...

The perfect and affordable little bike computer.

I am very happy with my purchase. I did some research to decide whether to spend more on Garmin or Wahoo and decided to give it a try as all the reviews I saw looked good. This is a great computer and does everything I need. I wanted to be able to see my cadence and heart rate, track my rides and work with my data. It does it all very well. I chose 420 instead of 320 because for the extra $30 you get back when you load the route. If you don't need navigation, 320 is probably a good choice. Andโ€ฆ

Fairly good bike GPS

Light weight which is a plus. I use GPS for train travel, so there are some features I don't use. I could probably buy a lower model. Speedometer and odometer work perfectly. The slope function is likely calculated from the elevation gain over a given distance, so you won't be able to read the slope or elevation gain right away. Although it shows the maximum altitude, it doesn't show the current altitude, which is a minus. I'm still trying to figure out how to work (and even find) with the mapโ€ฆ

Great bike computer - really bad app.

I really enjoyed using this bike computer. I was able to sync with Strava and all my ride information was uploaded to the Bryton and Strava apps. However, today the app blocked me and doesn't recognize my password. More than ten password reset requests have yielded nothing as I never received any instructions from Brighton. The only solution I could find was to create a new account from a different email address, which worked but shouldn't have been necessary. I think that's to be expected from

Doesn't connect to application

I should have listened to the reviews. The computer is good, not too big and not small for an average driver like me. The computer easily connects to a speed, cadence and heart rate monitor. I used it for the first time today and it was easy to read and sounded accurate. The problem with this computer is in the APP. A connection was initially established during the installation, but the connection will not be established again. No matter what I do, the computer does not connect to theโ€ฆ

Great value for money GPS, locators and accessories

It's hard to believe that you can buy a GPS computer for so little money. It is well made and feels high quality. The Android app works great on my Pixel phone and the web interface is very user-friendly too. I just bought a device without a kit because I already had a good chest heart rate monitor. Connected to the computer with no problems. I ordered a cheap cadence sensor and connected it just as easily. It doesn't have maps, but the breadcrumb navigation is also very handy. I load a planned

Simple, easy to use, responsive

I bought this bike GPS to replace my old Garmin Edge 520. I chose the Bryton Rider 420 because it offers all the essential features and specs at a much lower price. Battery life is excellent. I took a long drive today and I don't think the battery level has changed noticeably. With my previous head unit, I had to charge it after every long ride. The hardware of the Rider 420 is beautifully designed. The device makes a pretty solid impression. The screen is clear and easy to read. In low lightโ€ฆ

Good quality GPS bike computer

I've only had it recently (less than 10 rides with it so far). So this is more of a first impression than a full review. This Bryton Rider 420 replaced the VDO MC1.0. When I first switched from a basic cateye to a VDO, I thought the VDO looked pretty massive. Compared to the Bryton Rider 420, VDO seems quite small. I mean, the Bryton seems ridiculously big, especially when it's mounted on the handlebars next to the VDO. It's actually the same size as my old Nokia clamshell (folded). The screenโ€ฆ
