I was very excited and waited 2 weeks to get perfect casts of my baby's hands and feet. I really like the material of the mold, it's very soft. The first 2 times I didn't like the look of the prints but the 3rd time was adorable. I followed the directions and left the mold in the sun for 48-72 hours now it seemed dry. The first set I received was homemade with my little one and it ripped after drying. I contacted the company to see if I could get some clay to fill the crack and they sent me a brand new kit instead. Told me it most likely ripped from not kneading the clay long enough. This could very well be the reason, because this clay is quite hard and it is not very easy to knead it for five minutes. love it! But I have some thoughts and advice if you are doing this with a child. First, make sure your baby is sleeping! I tried this with a newborn who was awake and just couldn't hold his hand open long enough for a print. So we waited for him to fall asleep but the clay started drying out a bit so it didn't work with his handprints.
