This product works great when you can put it on. As mentioned in other reviews, it doesn't fit that well. Too bad because the size of the pipe from the wall is standard in my opinion. However, it is the same size as the wall pipe, not slightly larger to allow it to wrap around it. that's why I gave 4 stars. It works out. Just be willing to spend an hour or so and be ready to utter all your bad words.

My main criticism of this particular periscope dryer is the poor quality. It's poorly constructed, the channels don't allow for easy movement meaning it takes strength to adjust the two sections and this thing isn't meant to be forced. While this is difficult to set up, it doesn't mean the parts will fit exactly, which would help. Seems to allow adequate leakage. I recently renovated our laundry room, probably the most used room in the house considering it connects to the garage. In doing so, we moved W and D further to one side of the wall, resulting in the original flex channel no longer "fitting". The outlet and exhaust ports were only a few centimeters apart. Other reviews were correct. The product is not of good quality. The metal is very thin. This block has two ports. One to install on the dryer air outlet and the other to install on the dryer outlet. The problem is that the two fittings on the unit are the same size as the dryer vent pipe and the dryer outlet pipes (4 inches). Even the "crimped" connector isn't crimped enough to fit snugly into the dryer opening in my wall. I had to make 1" cuts in both fittings to fit it over the dryer outlet…

I had high hopes for this - I really did. The old standard flex hose on my dryer needed replacing and I was sure there had to be a better way in my small space and I found out about these periscope style vents. Worked fine for me. Installation is a little tedious, but that depends more on usage than the product itself. I have a very small gap between my dryer and the wall where the vent is. Using a flexible hose wasn't the best option as I had to compact it heavily. This product works well in tight spaces. The vent and dryer were only an inch away, but this product fit a lot better and was more durable than cramming a standard vent tube into such a small space. TWO THINGS YOU NEED TO MAKE INSTALLATION
