This lamp is perfect for the kitchen table where I don't want to be blinded by bright light. It reflects the light upwards into the closed lampshade, which is then gently reflected on the table.

They were perfect for the pendant lights above our bar. Prevents glare from the underside of the light directly into your eyes. Reflects light into the glass fixture.

I couldn't make my kids room as dark as I wanted until I got them. These lightbulbs look great in a child's room and create a calming sleeping experience instead of a night light. The top (chrome) gets very hot.

I've been looking everywhere for these bulbs. Anyone who owns a non-glare pendant light knows that using a pendant light is an ordeal due to glare. These lamps solve this problem. I wish they were in the 40w version because that would be perfect. Ideal for any recessed light. I wrote above a month after receiving the bulbs. Now I can report that none of them work. UPDATE 2/18/20: The one I bought still works. I ordered 2 more to use with the extra one I had. Not much quality control as one is very silver, one is very light almost gray and the other is in between. I wanted to use them in a dining room that needed 3 lights. Together they look amazing. I will put other bulbs in and use them to support the floor lamp I originally bought them for. They also came unpadded in a large box so who knows how long they'll last if dropped in transit, just in a loose…
