1) Reflective glass makes it difficult to read the time unless you are less than 0.5 meters away 2) Inaccurate time less than 2 months from date of purchase 3) The Das Material used for the dial is plasticky and less stylish despite the glass and wood stand. This purchase is disappointing.

This clock looks great. The reality is elsewhere. If you look closely at the work and the status, the quality is not very good. To top it off, he stops moving. The swinging pendulum occasionally decides not to budge. It's easy to start again. But it stops after a few minutes. More than a little disappointed. Expected more from the manufacturer's reputation.

I actually bought this item for my husband for Valentine's Day. Yes! A watch he loves very much. He is building a wooden clock from scratch as a new hobby and I thought the sight of a finished working 'skeleton' model would intrigue him. He can compare the working mechanisms to the wooden ones he makes, but I had to insist that he not disassemble the new watch. We put watches in his office at work, where they receive constant attention and praise. He's having a great time too!

The watch arrived on time and in *mostly* good condition. A scratch on the plastic front was embarrassing, and the pendulum mechanism was broken. Please note that it is described with plastic parts. This is very true. The plastic resembles the details of a model airplane painted with a mass of silver. Which didn't hold up well. In other words, white plastic shows where the paint has been applied poorly. I didn't know the front panel was plastic. Grrr. But the tree is real and the clock shows…
