QC seems to have left the building

I was really looking forward to my new lipstick. I love all hives. Unfortunately the lipstick was smeared in the cap. All of that. I don't normally apply lipstick from a tube anyway, I usually scoop it into a plastic container (weekday pill holders work great) and apply it with a brush, but as far as presentation goes, REALLY?!? Apparently QC was on vacation because of this mess. I will not send it back. I'll talk about the color and the feel when I'm done, when I'm totally fed up with the…

Not the color I was expecting

I thought this Blushing Ripple was a reddish warm medium plum like I saw in the photos and on YT. For me it's a light, transparent, cool bubblegum pink. For the record, I have very pale skin, strawberry blonde hair, and pale lips, so lip products look real on me since I don't have a lot of pigment to affect the result. Now I understand that on others it looked like quite a warm color because of their natural deep lip pigment blending into the color. It moisturizes very well, doesn't last long…

Great quality but inaccurate swatches

My review is about color accuracy, not quality. The quality deserves 5 stars. However, I have already ordered 3 colors and only one of them corresponded to the color samples in the photos. The rest of the colors weren't even close. I was expecting Rose Falls to be a deep pink shimmer, but it's more of a coral shade. Now I will personally buy.

Glossy with a hint of shimmer

I have bought two lipsticks from Burt's Bees and this is the second lipstick I am reviewing and it is the shade #505 Peony Dew. This lipstick is part of the Glossy lipstick line. This is a more neutral shade, pink with hints of brown. It also has a flicker. It's very close in color to another one I reviewed, Blush Basin, but a bit more pink. It is not easy to wash off, so it is durable. I really like this lipstick.
