Technology is old but works

We have a house that was built in the 1940's. We have a switchboard that needs updating, but until we do that we need this type of fuse to work. They do. They arrived in good condition and relatively quickly.

Pros
  • Great price
Cons
  • Big and bulky

Pretty hard to find

I've looked everywhere for this particular fuse which is pretty hard to find, at least in my area. Wanted to get a few extra when I found them here so ordered 3. Must not have read the fine print as I didn't know it was a box of 4! Now I have 12! Like 10 more than I need, more than a lifetime! Ha ha. But the fuse works great and I was glad to find it here! :)

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • So far so good

Great product --- helps diagnose electrical problems

I needed these fuses for my landscape lighting installation. I don't understand why manufacturers are still using "old tech" fuses instead of circuit breakers, but they do. However, these fuses are exceptionally well made and have a DOUBLE ELEMENT. I haven't found any other fuse that has this handy feature. An element is a tensioned spring. The other element is the more standard metal strip. If the spring is compressed, the chain has been overloaded. If the metal strip has melted, it is a short

Pros
  • Easy setup
Cons
  • There are other interesting options.
