Not suitable for heavy cats

Not suitable for heavy cats. The steps were not very strong when assembled. We added extra screws which helped for a short while. But they didn't hold, rather metal brackets had to be used to give the steps more stability. You're doing great now

Pros
  • Good marks for grip and durability from testers
Cons
  • Can be retrofitted

Good with minor changes

The screws they give you to attach to the wall are too short they will never support my cats weight (even thin ones if he's on it jump him). In addition, the bolt holes are spaced at a pitch smaller than the length of the bolt. To solve this problem, I attached a ladder to a 2x4 and screwed it to the wall studs with long wood screws. My cats walk up the stairs and I love the way they look

Pros
  • Quality construction
Cons
  • I don't remember but there was something

Poor quality for beds and furniture

Update: I installed them for 9 days and they are already falling apart. See photos. Original Review: I don't think these steps will take long. The mounting screw holes are located between the rungs and are very difficult to get out once the rungs are in place. Since the steps are assembled on the opposite side, they must be assembled before assembly. The stages are very close together and not very strong. More for a kitten than an adult cat.

Pros
  • Cool product
Cons
  • Long wait

Not as durable as expected.

Although the product was easy to assemble, we found that it wasn't very stable after mounting the steps to the wall with the hardware provided. Our cat used the steps once and they literally fell off the wall, the screws and Molly are still attached! Now, at our expense, we have to use longer screws to attach the rungs, and bigger Mollys and longer screws to attach them to the wall - definitely not. will buy it again.

Pros
  • good thing
Cons
  • expensive

My senior cat can climb now!

I have a small dog with a voracious appetite so if I leave my cat food within my dog's reach he will eat my picky cat food. But my 14-year-old cat with spinal arthritis was finding it increasingly difficult to jump up on the food counter. So I attached it to the cupboard door under the counter, and now it climbs easily onto the food counter. It was easy to attach. Some customer reviews said it wasn't durable but they should have heavy duty crampons. My cat is only 7 pounds so this ladder is…

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
  • Updates
