Runs small but fits the size chart.

I love this dress. I had to make some adjustments afterwards, but that's ok. I'll definitely make a few more. However, I'm 5ft 8 inches and 140 pounds and I have a regular size 6 or average dress size. While this pattern fit my size, it barely was. It says it fits a size 12 or 14 and I increased it in a few measurements.

You have changed the pattern

Attention: What you see in the picture is NOT the pattern in it. The neckline is different, the "V" bodice now has a deep "U" and is made for fuller women with a long torso. You should change the pattern to be close to the picture and wear a crinoline underneath. There are several guides online to help you. Resize the pattern to your shoulder size and adjust from there or you will be disappointed. It took me two tries to get it absolutely right. When done right, it's beautiful. I get lots of…

Did recently.

I made this dress last week. It was very easy. I'm not new to sewing, but I'm new to tailoring. I put a little more effort into using French stitches (not required for the pattern). I got a lot of compliments for that. It looks vintage but not like a suit like many pieces of modern retro clothing. I made the "A" dress - black and white on the cover. Instead of white I used a beautiful blue that goes with the black. I used Kona cotton for the clothing (it's thick enough not to show through). The
