Overall this seems to work. BUT IT DID NOT. The button that ejects the key is the wrong size. Your key will work perfectly with it. But if you want to use an already cut key. It won't fit. The tabs do not match. So after destroying my old keychain to take it apart I'm stuck with two that don't work now.

Got this to replace my existing case and another with all the key fobs including chip and factory key definitely not worth trying to open. It was much easier for me to replace the key with a new chip on another device I bought. I also found that the key on this one is not the same as the factory chip and I had to remove the pin from the key to use the existing key.

I would rate it higher but it doesn't fit. Everything about it was perfect except for the silver button to release the key. The one that came with it was smaller and had a different design than the one on my original key. And I couldn't use the key release button on my original key because it was too big to fit the new key fob. It says it works for the 2014 sound model, but that's a lie.

I had to completely destroy the old cover to be able to install the circuit board in the new cover. There is a small screw on the replacement cover under the Chevy butterfly emblem for easy opening. However, my original key fob didn't have this feature which meant I had to pry/cut it open. It took about 20 minutes but was worth saving the $100 I spent having the dealer replace my last one.

Great case! My keychain is broken. buttons come out. wrapped it with duct tape to hold it together. only made it worse. I have successfully replaced the original case with this one. Even if it was a bit difficult. I had to remove the key from the original hinge/knob. The hardest part was opening the original case without destroying the circuit board. I would recommend this to anyone looking to replace a warped keychain. Just know that this will probably be a bit annoying.

Make sure you are mechanically inclined to install them. They work well and have revived my worn out keychain. It's made in China, not OEM, so you need to push out the PIN to release the metal lever key on the fob. You can't use OEM if you don't want the toggle button to sink into the fob. What should have taken 20 minutes took almost 3 HOURS. The quality of the parts looks great. Very close to identical. The instructions are TERRIBLE. BLUE PRINT. and the most important part is missing (SPRING AND HOW TO REALLY ATTACH AND TWIST). Luckily there was YOUTUBE.
