Fails to Detect Gas Leaks

Based on our own experience the BW Technologies sensor does not live up to its advertised claims of detecting combustible gases .We purchased it for our home safety kit, but were disappointed to find that it fails to consistently alert us of gas leaks. It may be useful for basic purposes, but we wouldn't recommend it for serious home safety needs..

Pros
  • Compact design was easy to install as another household sensor.
Cons
  • Inconsistent detection of combustible gases. Likely better options found in Tools and Home Improvement.

Reliable Home Safety Tool!

Based on my experience, this household sensor is a must-have for anyone concerned with home safety and security. The tool`s easy installation and maintenance make it user-friendly while its impressive accuracy and efficiency give me peace of mind when it comes to detecting combustible elements in my home .Its compact size also makes it a convenient addition to any space. Tools and Home IMPROVEMENT have definitely improved my home security! The only con is that it can be a bit pricey..

Pros
  • Highly sensitive detection of combustible gases
Cons
  • Prone to false alarms in areas with high humidity levels

Very poor quality sensor

This is a gas detector - 4 in 1 - so there are also four sensors that could be defective. In my case, a sensor was defective when I turned on the detector. So now I have a 3 in 1 detector. :-(

Pros
  • Low cost of ownership. Compatible with IntelliDoX
Cons
  • Vulgarity
