Works Computer Accessories and Peripherals

I recently upgraded my owner's TP (twisted pair) for her phone and I have to tell you that it works. As for the material, I gave it 3 stars because it's twisted pair and not a solid cable, which if you're connecting to an external telecom box you'll want to use a solid cable. However, in my case, with all the twists and turns, the core turned out to be twisting. Will it improve DSL speed? It depends on both the distance to the telecom company building and your plan. What I'm saying is that inโ€ฆ

A great way to improve signal quality for DSL

Century Link DSL client. I replaced the main green phone wire that they get with the initial install with this shielded wire. I work in industrial electronics and shielded cable isn't always necessary, but it's not a bad idea if you have a tangled mess of cables next to a DSL modem. Add EMI and RFI power filters to the performance of your DSL modems, along with shielded CAT5/6 cables for all modem output connections, and you have the best possible conditions to boost your DSL signal in yourโ€ฆ

If you have DSL, BUY THIS CABLE!

If like me you live in a rural area with DSL and don't use shielded cable, don't read this review and just order it. It took me a few years to figure out why my DSL speeds were always so terrible, but after some belated research I found a solution and gave it a try. shielded cable. High quality cable, very stiff so you have to do a little work to get it where you need it. This is a great solution for those who spend long periods of time between where the modem is located and an available phoneโ€ฆ

Great replacement. Allows me to move my modem around my home office

I had to move my modem from where the short cord AT&T provided would allow. I bought a 25 foot cable from Fry's Electronics but it never allowed my modem to reconnect to my ISP. I bought this 25ft cable from Revain and a few minutes after changing the cable I was back online. Speedtest.net showed my DL speed of 50.73 Mbit/s (I have a 40 Mbit/s plan), which means that I didn't lose any performance by changing cables. This cable looks cooler than AT&T's ugly green cable, and the RJ11 connectorsโ€ฆ

Works great for an AT&T U-verse 50 feet from Jack's wall!

I bought this cable to mount my AT&T U-Verse DSL Router 50 away from a wall outlet. And it worked great! In fact, my speed is slightly faster than when using the original and shorter green cable that came with the router. The reason I needed this cable was because I wanted to install the router in the middle of my house and mount it on the ceiling. However, my wall outlet was 50 feet away from me. At first I tried buying a regular 50ft phone cord but it didn't work because even though I couldโ€ฆ

rubbish! I bought it because I was looking for a reliable, once-for-a-lifetime cable. I didn't know much about phone cords, but I learned quite a bit about RJ11 cords, crimping and wiring thanks to this horrible cord that gave me a lot of trouble. In short, these cables are made with very poor quality control and I had to take apart and reassemble mine to get it working. I doubled the cost of this cable to get it repaired because it would take me 4 hours of sweaty, nasty work to removeโ€ฆ

Totally satisfied with this RJ11 cable.

This RJ11 cable has replaced a cable that has been around since 1986. Thought it was time for an update! The cable I replaced was unshielded so all sorts of noise got into the line. Since using DSL I've noticed a nice speed boost (nothing major, another 100kbps on download) which I can only attribute to a reduction in the noise on my line! Aside from the extra performance of this cable, they also look very cool. The cable's outer insulating material is transparent, so you can see the shield and
