Can't send enough power to Chromecast with Google TV

For some reason this device can't send enough power to power my new Chromecast with Google TV. The Chromecast works great when plugged directly into a power source. , but when this device is connected between them, the Chromecast complains of insufficient performance. Too bad because the only reason I bought this device was my new Chromecast. Note: USB-C hubs with other bandwidths worked fine.

Pros
  • Easy to use
Cons
  • Too stupid

Compatible with iPad Pro (2018)

Great key so far! I wanted the most stable/best internet connection for my iPad and be able to charge it at the same time. This one does the job! I am now getting the most out of my ISP.

Pros
  • Very good value for money
Cons
  • Neutral

Yay Electronics: Power Supplies

Works. I use it to stream from my phone. Pass-through charging is 60W, but my phone's battery slowly drains at that rate when streaming. Otherwise no problem. This is certainly better than not powering the phone. The Ethernet connection is excellent. My gateway device gives me 1 gig.

Pros
  • Good stuff
Cons
  • Not as thick as other picks

Works for Samsung phones! Get the PD PSU

I think I should write a quick review to discuss and correct reviews that say there isn't enough power to the Samsung Galaxy phone sends. Your power adapter may not charge if it does not support PD Power Delivery. And the normal charger that comes with the phone doesn't support PD, only supports QC Quick Charge. They're different. Samsung phones support both, but power pass-through ethernet adapters only support PD. So if you use this and want to charge your phone, you need to buy a PD power…

Pros
  • High marks for support and durability from testers
Cons
  • Poor performance

Works on some devices, not on others

The device seems fine on Windows 10 but is not listed on my devices with Linux firmware. The network adapter chip is Realtek 8153 version 5c30. Support for this version was not added to Linux until kernel 4.2. Unfortunately, the device I'm trying to use it with has a Linux 3.17 kernel and isn't upgradable.

  • Always Liked

Perfect Simple Adapter

They work great and are a good simple adapter. Tested on various devices confirms they meet the Power Delivery standard and not just the nominal charge voltage.

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Good but not great

Works on my Pixel 5

I bought this to use my Pixel 5 phone's rear camera as an NDI camera for OBS without wifi. It was just plug and play - I connected the USB-CC cable to the USB-C PD charger; I connected the RevainBasics ethernet cable to the switch on my desk and connected the USB-C end to my phone. It was recognized immediately and works great with the NDI camera app.

Pros
  • Good
Cons
  • Not the best
