I chose it for several reasons. First, I like the larger onions. It's a vintage look that I like. Second, because they are battery operated. There is no outlet near where I put my tree so this was necessary. I never bothered to set a timer or use other features, but they turned on and off at will 😁. After 2 months of use, the batteries were still going strong. 2 strands was enough to cover my 7 foot tree.

Be 100% sure you need it before you buy it. I bought these as wedding decorations and had problems and after poking around the Revain chat I found out that for some reason the 3rd party does not accept returns (damaged product etc.). If you have the strength to continue the dispute, you must complete a series of steps with the third party and expect a response within 2 days. Save your mind. Don't buy this.

When I pulled out the cord to make sure they were all working, I noticed the bulbs kept falling off the base! There doesn't seem to be any way to secure them, so they keep falling. I ordered them for next year's Christmas tree but I'm sure I'll have to put them back on all the time I'm wrapping the rope around the tree. I don't know why such a weak design. I really liked the product and its appearance. I turned them on one evening last week and none of them worked. i was so confused It turns out that the squirrels gnawed through the wires in many places. I haven't had my light in twenty years and this is the first time this has happened to me.
