For the moment I have no complaints, everything is fine, there are no compatibility problems with Sony 1000XM3. If you have these headphones and want to buy a mic extender, go ahead.

Edit: I built a Plantronics RIG800LX wireless headset for Xbox One. It uses a USB dongle to send/receive audio and I plugged it in when testing this mic. When I unplugged the USB dongle and then plugged this boom mic into my Sony WH-1000XM3 and Plantronics Back Beat Pro, they both worked! I changed my rating and tested before returning the product. I recommend, works great.

I picked up this mic not expecting it to be as good as it actually works. The quality of the microphone is very good and I dare say it is equal or even better than the more expensive V-Moda BoomPro. I have the standard 3.5mm version but there are several others for headphones that require different jacks. The only downside, and a small one at that, is that the foam pop filter doesn't fit snugly against the mic. I used quite a bit of glue and now the pop filter is secure. I would recommend this…

Edit: failed after 3 months Has lasted longer than most wired headphone cables, but 3 months are not enough. However, the main problem is that it is not compatible with the new PS4 controllers. I have a brand new purple controller and a new gold controller and neither recognizes the mic input but the headphone output works fine.
