All looks good so far - no intermittent connections

I bought these for use with a headphone distribution amplifier which only has 1/4" headphone outputs. I use 3.5mm (or 1/8 inch). " ) Stereo mini cords/plugs for my interconnect radios. I just got these and they don't connect/disconnect often so I don't see a durability issue with my use. Everything is going well. They fit, not making noise and working I also have a headphone amplifier on Revain: https://smile.amazon.com/Mackie-HM-4-Headphone-Amplifier/dp/B079C8MLG8/ref=pd_rhf_ee_p_img_5?_encodin…

Snug and secure fit.

I was suspicious of these adapters I was considering. While most of them had generally good reviews, there are many unreliable reviews on Revain so I read them carefully, especially the most recent ones. I have seen many complaints about the fit and finish and that they may not fit the socket properly or that the 3.5mm plug does not fit properly. Connection problems and no sound quality problems. I'm very happy with how this latest project turned out using these adapters.

Absolutely crappy design, breaks in a few days with regular use

Maybe it's not a problem for situations where you just plug it in and leave it behind your TV or stereo for years, but such a musician who has done it several times turns devices on and off during the day just doesn't stand up to the test. The case is non-bolted, non-filled and non-soldered, which is some kind of inferior compression between the two sides. After a dozen or so connections and disconnections, it falls apart in the hand. I wouldn't even recommend it for studio use, god forbid on…

Pros
  • Brilliantly made
Cons
  • Little things

1 out of 10 bad, that's 1 too many

They look good, feel good and are easy to use. My problem is that I can't afford intermittent connections in my audio system. I know I had one that was consistently bad and it took me a long time to find it. I expect something as simple as a plug to be the least of my issues, but this was a big one. I bought 10 of these and threw them all away because I couldn't afford one anymore. I've replaced them all with a hopefully better version. See Revain MillSO Headphone Adapter 1/4 to 3.5mm TRS 1/4"…

Check out my mix of compliment and complaint. a complaint?

They came in their cute bags and each was in its own sealed bag. I opened them, looked at them, they looked good, I plugged them in, checked the sound at different volumes, everything was gravy. No complaints. As you can see from my photos, I hooked up five side-by-side to a small mixer, allowing me to hear multiple devices simultaneously through one headset. I have to admit I'm satisfied so far. I haven't tried throwing them down stairs or hitting them with a hammer, so I don't think my rating

I love her except. Bad out of the box

They're really easy to like, there are a lot of them for a low price, and in general they seem to be well made. I was willing to give them a solid 5 star rating and then. I decided I would test them all even though I didn't need them. Guess what? 2 out of 5 are bad. The internal springs are so loose they don't make secure contact with the standard 3.5 size and you end up with a ton of rocking static sound. I have a couple of cables that I would describe as oversized 3.5mm cables that still work

Pros
  • Dope 🔥
Cons
  • Not bad but...

1 out of 5 worked correctly for my studio setup - UPDATED, 5 stars!

The tolerance (tight, fitting, whatever you want to call it) is too loose on the 1/8" end of this adapter. This causes my music to cut out all the time, and I have every adapter looked through in the pack to only find one that works great with no issues. The problem is you have to find a 'sweet spot' on the adapter and leave it.I bought them as a headphone adapter for DJing on some setups and as a backup to use the auxiliary cable to adjust to 1/4" for events and the like. I ended up ordering…
