Description of 🔌 Black 3 ft Cat6 Ethernet Cable - Cable Matters 5-Pack of Snagless Short Cat6 Cables (Cat 6 Cable, Cat6 Cable)

High Performance Internet cable is Cat6 rated; The Ethernet cord with 24 AWG copper wire provides universal connectivity for LAN network components such as PCs, computer servers, printers, routers, switch boxes, network media players, NAS, VoIP phones, PoE devices, and more. Cat6 performance at a Cat5e price but with higher bandwidth; Future-proof your network for 10-Gigabit Ethernet (backwards compatible with any existing Cat 5 cable network); Meets or exceeds Category 6 performance in compliance with the TIA/EIA 568-C.2 standard. A Category 6 Ethernet patch cable is also referred to as a Cat6 network cable, Cat6 cable, Cat6 Ethernet cable, or Cat 6 data/LAN cable. A wired Cat 6 data cable is more reliable and secure than a wireless network or Cat5 cable network for your internet connections. The connectors with gold-plated contacts and strain-relief boots provide durability, and ensure a secure connection; Bare copper conductors enhance cable performance and comply with specifications for communications cables. Flexible and durable RJ45 cable with high bandwidth of up to 550 MHz guarantees high-speed data transfer for server applications, cloud computing, video surveillance, and online high-definition video streaming.

Value for money, functionality

We try to color code key cables to remind others that certain cables should not be disconnected without due consideration of potential issues. To do this, important connections are made in our network with red wires, as a signal that "dragons will be here". These Cable Matters are the specified length, work well and come in a beautiful bright red colour. :-) It ticked all the boxes for this purchase.

Pros
  • New to my collection
Cons
  • Clarity

These cables aren't good enough

Sorry, CableMatters Cat6 cables are junk. In our very large corporate network infrastructure, we had all sorts of little problems. One of the problems was diagnosed as a bad cable. OK, it happens. cables fail. So we started to think of our other problems as cable problems. And one by one. All cables are different lengths (so different retail packaging), we found that our gremlins were caused by bad cables, and all bad cables pulled were CableMatters cables. All other cables used were fine. We…

  • Great for a small home

Genuine CAT6 computer accessories and peripherals

I recently bought a couple of other so-called CAT6 cables but when I cut them apart they didn't have the X-shaped expander in the middle that was supposed to hold the four twisted Cable. Couples are separated. However, when I cut one of those cables, I saw that it had an expander. I haven't tested their performance, but they appear to be true CAT6 cables.

Pros
  • Pretty packaging
Cons
  • Skimpy manual

Used to make RJ11 Cat6 patch cords.

These cables are made of well-made, flexible copper 24 AWG 4 twisted pair. To make a patch cord for the arris nvg599 router, I filed both sides of the rj45 connector evenly to 9.82mm to fit the rj11 jack. Also tried replacing crimped rj45s with rj11s (no need to face the hassle if you don't have room for crimped rj45s) (no difference in performance). I trust the quality of Cable Matters. Used one of the cables for the supposed ethernet patch. Now there are spare parts. The reason I ordered them

Pros
  • High Performance Category 6 Internet Cable; 24 AWG Copper Ethernet Cable provides versatile connectivity for LAN components such as PCs, computer servers, printers, routers, switches, network media players, NAS, VoIP phones, PoE devices, etc.
Cons
  • Great Price

4 out of 5 cables fail 1 Gbps

I ordered these Category 6 cables (5 7ft cables) the day before Thanksgiving and they arrived today. I had to get them because I upgraded my internet service to 1 Gbps. I was able to test my new link with this coil 6 I had. Started laying new cables today. I really needed two: one for the computer to the router and one from the router to the switch. Imagine my surprise when I tried the cable from the computer to the router. I went back to 100Mbps. I checked the other four and found that only…

Pros
  • Gold-plated connectors with protective covers ensure durability and a secure connection; Bare copper conductors improve cable performance and meet communications cable specifications
Cons
  • Not sure

Consistent Quality – Faster Speeds?

So I bought a 20 foot cable and this five pack to cut all my cables at once. We had some very old cables, two of which were broken. I realized that with all of our high-end computers, having outdated cables was ridiculous. It was definitely an upgrade from what we had and I have to admit there was a speed boost. I was hoping for more, but I managed to beat my usual top speeds by a few megabytes. I think "fast" is relative, but since we don't live in a place like San Francisco, I'm lucky enough…

Pros
  • Cat6 performance at Cat5e price but with higher throughput; Prepare your network for the future of 10 Gigabit Ethernet (backwards compatible with any existing Cat 5 wired network); Meets or exceeds TIA/EIA 568-C.2 Category 6 ratings
Cons
  • I am writing back
