I ordered these Category 6 cables (5 7ft cables) the day before Thanksgiving and they arrived today. I had to get them because I upgraded my internet service to 1 Gbps. I was able to test my new link with this coil 6 I had. Started laying new cables today. I really needed two: one for the computer to the router and one from the router to the switch. Imagine my surprise when I tried the cable from the computer to the router. I went back to 100Mbps. I checked the other four and found that only one of the five would run at 1Gbps. And yes, I re-checked my original Cat6 cable and it has always worked. At the same time I bought several cables of shorter length, but they are all returned. I don't know if it's the cable itself or if the problem is in the connectors, but I don't spend time with this brand anymore. I understand some people have had success with this brand. Good for them, but they certainly don't work for me.
