Beautiful, flawless tab design.

I needed some short cables to connect my 16 port switch to my patch panels. I use 6 out of 8 and they all work well. They are relatively flexible and don't take up so much space that I can now mount the door on a textured wiring board. While not strictly necessary for my use, I've found the no-hook tab design to be superior to anything else I have. Some unhooked tabs make it difficult to depress the mount far enough to remove the connector. For this reason, I cut off the tab on most of my…

High quality interconnect cables

I have used many cables from Cable Matters and have not had any problems with any of them. Although I make my own cables, I always have a few on hand. These are great patch cords that should be in every IT professional's backpack. I also like that they are snag free.

Cons

HIGH quality for a low price

Excellent cables with the quality I expected. A really great feature is that they don't tangle, which for me is a lot easier to use than jacketed cordless cables and that's almost reason enough to keep coming back, but there's also a great price point - it's a win- win situation .

Cat5e Ideal for 99% of users.

Well they are what they are, 8 packs of cat. 5e is about as good as any home user needs. Cat6 shows a slightly higher transmission rate due to the tighter twist, but this is mostly negligible. If you have or look forward to 10Gb/s peripherals, by all means choose Cat6 if you need distance. Cat6e obviously doubles your 10Gb/s to 328ft. But Cat5e has been around for 15 years, tried and tested, and works well. If it's coming from your internet connection, don't worry, you're not capping your…

Great product, a lot of rubbish in the packaging.

These little guys are amazing! Our church network room was a regal CLASH with randomly colored network cables of all lengths and styles stretching everywhere. This allowed me to use customized cables that were the right length for the job. Call me a tree lover (I live in Oregon) but I felt the packaging was a little over the top. They arrived in a large box full of plastic bag fillers, in a smaller box, in a giant plastic bag, with 8 other individual smaller plastic bags each containing 1…

Great cables for Cat 5e cables

I use Cable Matters almost exclusively at home and work. The costs are super cheap. I've never had a bad cable out of hundreds of cables. The boot style used doesn't have that annoying quality that many others have if you can't remove it from the device.

  • Done

Good Quality - Ethernet Cable

I have a 16 port switch in my living room that I recently had to move and rewire. I found that not all of my old cables were high-speed Cat5e cables, so I decided to replace them all. These cables appear to be of good quality, the ends are solid rather than flimsy and plug securely into the connectors on either end. I have 3 and 6 foot cables.

Pros
  • Heavy Duty
Cons
  • Embarrassing
