I love this document so far!

I like this dock especially since it is cheaper than other models. Features include: it can stand upright or lay flat, everything works very well with my 15" MacBook Pro, it puts out 80w of power, includes all cables, has HDMI outputs. The only downside is that the Mac only allows 1 HDMI output. although there are two of them in the dock.

Pros
  • Fits many
Cons
  • There are problems

Very easy to set up, works great with a MacBook

Some other docks require a driver for use with a MacBook. I connected this and it worked. Excellent range of functions. Keep in mind that you can't run two monitors from one dock on a Mac (that's a Mac limitation, not the dock). However, if you have two or more USB-C ports, you can power one monitor plus your MacBook's Ethernet, power, audio in/out, and USB ports from the dock, and then power the other monitor to the second USB -Connect connector. -C (make sure you have a USB-C to Displayport…

Pros
  • Great product
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Not great for the price. Immediately gives

It seems to work. This has allowed me to use multiple SSD drives where I could not before, but the product is very inconsistent. The SD card reader stopped working almost immediately. Consider another brand or something more expensive if I have to do it again and again.

Finally everything should be in one

Does everything I need and does it well. I use it with 2 different laptops, it can be charged by connecting everything with a cable, it's great. There is no noticeable drop in data transfer speed when reading/writing large files via SD card or external drives.

Pros
  • Holding my fists
Cons
  • A bit of maintainability

Well designed with possible error

Well designed product with 5 USB ports for more convenience. The product description on Revain was very clear which gave me confidence to purchase. I'm using the dock in 4k mode to drive two 2k monitors. It works fine with this configuration. The only problem is that it crashes from time to time causing a monitor or two to become undetectable by my Dell computer. As a result, the computer goes into single monitor mode. The problem can be solved by turning off the power to the docking station…

Pros
  • Same as everything before
Cons
  • Update available

My Dell Latitude 3490 isn't working

The device claims to work with USB-C laptops, but it doesn't control my Dell Latitude 3490 through the USB-C port. It only manages my Lenovo X1 Carbon. I have another dock (Dell D6000) and it manages my Dell and Lenovo laptops with no problems. Also, unlike CalDigit, there is no customer service in the US that can answer your questions or help you troubleshoot problems. I am returning the device.

Pros
  • A dream come true
Cons
  • Something else

Great all-in-one docking station that works with multiple vendors

This docking station solved my problems connecting multiple laptops to monitors and peripherals. This docking station connects to my Dell and HP laptops via USB-C and charges them too. It made life easier and took a lot of cords off my desk.

Pros
  • Good thing
Cons
  • Hard to remember, but it was

Works fine when set up correctly

I bought this USB-C Dock to use with the new Lenovo X1 Carbon. I chose it because it had two HDMI outputs, which would have made setting up with two external monitors easier. One of my current monitors had an HDMI input while the other only had VGA and DVI. I bought a DVI to HDMI cable. I ran into a lot of issues with this setup when running dual monitors. CableMatters support staff was very quick to respond. One suggestion was to toggle a setting on the dock; That helped, but didn't completely

Pros
  • Done
Cons
  • Some issues

So far so good in notebook accessories

This hub has shown me everything over the past few months. Impressively, it can power a fair amount of hardware: a second screen, a full USB keyboard and mouse, a laptop fan, and switching between a recording mic and a USB DAC for listening and editing. Heck, I can even charge my phone on my desk through the same hub and do all of this. My only complaint has more to do with the transfer speed not quite hitting the limit despite using proper drives and ports (max read speed was around 8GB/s) but

Pros
  • Everything is fine!
Cons
