The Cable Matters USB-C Ethernet switch is an indispensable networking accessory that combines a USB-C Ethernet adapter and a Gigabit Ethernet switch into one convenient adapter; Connect a laptop or tablet which lacks a physical Ethernet port to a wired network with the Gigabit USB-C Ethernet adapter. Gigabit USB Type C Ethernet adapter supports performance Ethernet features like WoL (Wake on LAN), FDX (Full Duplex Mode), auto-sensing, jumbo frames, and IPv6; Ethernet hub supports MAC address pass-through with the EZ-Dock utility software for the Thunderbolt 3 to Ethernet adapter. Ethernet to USB C adapter is bus-powered from the host USB-C connection; No need for a bulky external power plug or extra USB cable to power the Gigabit Ethernet switch 4 port; Flexible use cases for the 4 port switch includes a USB C Ethernet adapter plus network hub, or as a standalone 3 port Internet switch. What networking products do I need

Works great with a Gigabit E camera Sometimes being on site means not having external power or not enough ports on machine switches. Perfect

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Only available in black

Works as described, new must have in tool box

Works as described. Appears as a network card on a USB-C device and acts as a switch between it and the other 4 ports. Ideal for setting up new network devices or a fast gigabit network. Use it on Mac and Linux with no problems.

Pros
  • Ideal for a small home
Cons
  • Could have chosen a more recent model

A solid device.

Simple USB-C Ethernet switch, so it's easy to add to laptops without Ethernet ports. I'm setting up Ethernet devices in a multi-cable environment, so it's perfect for what I'm using it for. The device is still new, so reliability is still a joker. Ok while I update if anything should change.

Pros
  • Rugged design
Cons
  • Not bad

Interesting and useful product that works great

We needed a multiport ethernet adapter and stumbled upon it. Has worked exactly as expected so far. The USB-C connection is perfect and the Ethernet switching works as expected. It is currently used for the LAN of a Hyper-V virtualized router and is perfect for my application.

Pros
  • GOLS certified
Cons
  • Legacy model

Reliable, convenient and durable

Very satisfied with this network switch. This greatly simplifies troubleshooting in the computer network. I also use it when commissioning and troubleshooting solar inverters. We often connect to commercial systems with a single network cable, and being able to connect to the network from any device is very useful. I wish it had a couple of standard USB ports so I don't have to lug around an adapter when I need it. It will be a long time before I need it. I use it with my 13" Dell XPS laptop…

Pros
  • Stable test results
Cons
  • Almost everything ok
