Description of πŸ”Œ High-Performance Cable Matters Short Cat 8 Ethernet Cable 3ft

Cat 8 performance for a 10GBASE-T, 25GBASE-T or a 40GBASE-T channel compliant network up to 30 meters; GHMT Cat 8 channel performance verified; Fully backwards compatible with Cat 5e (Cat5e), Cat 6 (Cat6), or Cat 6A (Cat6A) Ethernet networks with 10Gbps support up to 100 meters. 25 GbE high bandwidth Ethernet cable Cat 8 rated supports network switch to server connections; Optimize the distance and power in high density networking End of Row (EOR), Top of Rack (TOR) or Middle of Row (MOR) configurations at the data center; Cat 8 supports interconnect topologies that are limited to 2 connections in a 30 meter channel for 25Gbps or 40Gbps network speeds. Next generation copper cable provides a lower cost alternative than OM3 fiber connections under 30 meters or an SFP+ twin-axial connection under 5 meters; Cat 8 Ethernet cable supports auto-negotiation for compatibility with mixed network server speeds from 1 Gbps to 40 Gbps. Superior Shielded design of this Cat 8 cable includes individually foil-Shielded bare copper connectors encased in an overall steel braid; Fully Shielded metal connectors have gold-plated RJ45 contacts and a snagless boot with molded strain relief; Tested to support up to 2000 MHz (2 Ghz) that is 4x the frequency of Cat 6A cable or Cat7 cable. PoE plus advantage allows a Cat 8 cable to support a 280 cable bundle versus only 101 cables in a Cat 6A bundle; Tolerates higher temperatures up to 75C for 100W power transmission.

Great performance in a small package

My analysis of this short Ethernet cable showed that it exceeded my expectations in terms of speed and connectivity. Its compact size is also great for clutter-free setups. However, it may not be the best option for longer distance connections. Overall, I highly recommend this cable for anyone looking for high-quality performance in a shorter length.

Pros
  • High-speed data transfer capability with a transmission speed of up to 40 Gbps.
Cons
  • I don't really have any dislikes about this, everything is just fine

Great cable and goodbye bottleneck!

This cable changed the game. Little did I know the standard ethernet cable I got from the ISP was bad, I mean it didn't even come close to the speed I was supposed to get. The only time I was able to get the displayed speed was around 3am. But not anymore. I plugged it in and then ran a speed test and bam I actually saw myself going full speed. I've done this twice just to make sure I'm seeing everything correctly, and again get the same result as before. I love this cable. I would buy again as

Pros
  • The PoE Plus benefit allows a Cat 8 cable to support a bundle of 280 cables compared to 101 cables in a Cat 6A bundle; Withstands higher temperatures up to 75Β°C for 100W power delivery
Cons
  • boring packaging

Superior CAT Cable - Works great with Unifi 10Gb Switch

jobs later. and development server. With 10 Gigabit switches still being relatively expensive, it's important to use quality components and cables, so I started my search with a brand I trust and have used for various other cabling needs: Cable Matters. CAT8 cables are strong, simple and straightforward. They look and feel solid, the RJ45 connector is well made, and unlike many cable manufacturers I've used in the past, the wire pairs are clean cut and flush with the connector, making for a…

Pros
  • This Cat 8 cable's improved shielded design includes individually shielded copper foil connectors wrapped with an all-steel braid; Fully shielded metal connectors feature gold plated RJ45 contacts and a sealed body with a molded retainer; Tested to support frequencies up to 2000MHz (2GHz), which is 4x the frequency of Cat 6A or Cat7 cable
