UPDATE: The cable has failed after less than 1.5 years of light use. The cable has never been moved. It stayed plugged into the phone's charger and connected to the phone on a daily basis. So yes, it was used; but no, it hasn't been abused, twisted/unwrapped, secured, moved, etc. I expected this cable to last MUCH longer. Also, I don't see any warranty information for this item.
