PCIE x1 not x4

This is PCIE 3.0 x1 not x4, different from what is described Works correctly at low speed Difficult to install, no installation guide Approximately 850 MB/s, 1/4 of original speed

Not all parts are correct.

Very fast delivery. There is also a map and some parts, screws and racks. 2 racks don't match (no big deal). I used 2 large screws to attach the card to the case liner. (so far so good) I then have 2 large screws and a small screw for the rack. So I need 4 small screws for the posts. That means I'm missing 3 screws. I had to order art to another order. It remains to be seen if it works.

Pros
  • Pleasant to use
Cons
  • No instructions

Good for the price but not as advertised!

As someone else pointed out, this is NOT PCIE x4. I wasn't aware of this before ordering. But I'm very happy with the results. I used one to upgrade my daughter's PC with 1TB of additional storage (ADATA Falcon). And I used the second one to upgrade my system (another 1TB Falcon). If you have an old computer (I have an i5 2500K) without an M.2 slot, there are ways to hack your BIOS and use a PCIE adapter like this and an M.2 NVMe drive (google "NVMe support an AMI UEFI BIOS ", but there are…

  • Great for me

Look at the picture - is that a PCIe x4 slot?

The card I received had a PCIe x1 connector as shown in the picture. Look at the interface in the picture. This is a PCIe x1 interface. It fits into the PCIe x1 slot on the motherboard. The PCIe x4 card is not suitable for the PCIe x1 slot. The second block of slots is longer, not shorter, than the first block of slots on the PCIe x4 interface. You cannot install a PCIe x4 card in a PCIe x1 slot. If your card fits in the short PCIe x1 slot, it's PCIe x1! It works, but the NVMe drive speed has…

Pros
  • Satisfied so far
Cons
  • I have no particular complaints about it, everything is fine

As good as ASUS Quad NVMe 25$ less

I was looking for an affordable option (less than $100) to add 4 NVMe to RAID 0. Well I gave up on the RAID 0 part for various reasons and went with using NVM as separate disks. IMPORTANT: Your processor and MOBO MUST support bifurcation (good luck writing without google). For people saying their drive is bad and only reads one drive, your MOBO and proc doesn't support it or there are settings in your BIOS that you don't know about. For me the setting was PCIe RAID mode or something like that…
