A bit fragile: accessories and consumables

Actually bought for my cousin who recently changed his case and is equipped with USB Type-C. After placing an order I wasn't sure if this would work with USB LINKUP. The adapter's Type-C connector sits side-by-side like the motherboard's USB 3.0 connector (see Z270MX Gaming 5). Luckily, it's short enough that the internal USB-C connector and standard 20-pin connector sit on top of each other. I took off a star because I think the blue plastic shield isn't ABS material (I know some type ofโ€ฆ

Suitable for microATX but not ATX in mid-size cases Cannot be removed without damage

Update: I had to upgrade to a MicroATX case with a floppy drive and now I have the MicroATX to MicroATX Board no space in the case for the adapter. This product was almost impossible to remove. I nearly damaged the motherboard and luckily the USB port still works after I had to unplug the thing. As already mentioned, suitable for a microATX board in an ATX case. Not for an ATX board in a medium ATX case or a microATX board in a microATX case. Original: Ideal for a microATX motherboard in aโ€ฆ

Not removed! Go to Accessories and Supplies

Do not install this in your motherboard if you're hoping to remove it without damaging it. The small tabs on the adapter are too large and sharp to disengage when attempting to remove them. I bought it to better route my cable but it didn't work as I hoped. I was about to reconnect the cable directly and that's when I discovered the problem. I could not remove this adapter. Eventually I pulled so hard that the 90 degree connector snapped and got stuck a small piece in my Threadripperโ€ฆ

Barely works, had to use iFixit kit to remove it

It clicked into place as expected. My USB 3 is connected as expected. The ports were extremely resourceful. I heard the audio of the connected/disconnected device without interruption. After moving the entire adapter, I was able to get it to recognize my external storage, but after a short while it started disconnecting again. The product is very cheap and does not work well at all. In addition, the connection tabs are too big and the adapter can hardly be removed. I've read reviews mentioningโ€ฆ
