Trouble sleeping connecting Mac Mini M1 to Samsung Oddyssey G9

I've tried many different USB 3/Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cables, and so have many others this mismatch wakes the display from sleep mode when connecting a Mac Mini M1 and a Samsung Oddyssey G9 display. May be suitable for other displays and/or other computers/set top boxes.

Pros
  • USBC Bidirectional DP Cable
Cons
  • Hard to remember, but it was

Doesn't work with LG 24MD4KL

When connected to an NVIDIA 30 series GPU and an LG 24MD4KL Ultrafine Monitor, the computer refuses to boot. The only way to get a picture is to turn it off, wait for the computer to boot up, then plug it in and adjust the refresh rate until the monitor wakes up. From my research this is due to a bad power connection in the cable - pin 20 gets power from the GPU side when it shouldn't. I didn't want to go through this problem on every boot so I'm sending this cable back.

Pros
  • 8K @ 60Hz UHD
Cons
  • Don't really like it, everything is fine

Will not work with MacBook Pro 2020 and Dell U3417W

Will not work with MacBook Pro 2020 and Dell U3417W. I wanted to go with one cable instead of an HDMI + cable adapter so I bought this one. Too bad back. MacBook Pro to the same monitor via HDMI works fine, no problem.

Pros
  • What will you get
Cons
  • Has been damaged

Worked fine on small ITX build with 144Hz USB-C portable monitor

Computers: Win Chopin (3.3L chassis), Asus B550-I motherboard and Ryzen 7 Pro 4750g Monitor (APU Processor): G-Story 15.6" 144Hz USB-C Portable Monitor Thank you for being the cable that made it all possible. Asus B550 - I don't have a dedicated USB-C port for the display, and to use 144Hz on the monitor it needs to be plugged into USB-C. This is indeed a bidirectional display cable, not unidirectional.

Pros
  • Wide compatibility
Cons
  • Can't remember

I've tried many different USB 3/Thunderbolt 3 to DisplayPort cables and like many others, this cable won't wake from sleep mode correct when using Connect Display Mac Mini M1 and Samsung Oddyssey G9. May be suitable for other displays and/or other computers/set top boxes.

Pros
  • Computer Accessories and Peripherals
Cons
  • Something else

The cable began to fail after 1 month

I use it for connecting to an ultra-thin LG display from a 1080 graphics card. After a month of use, the screen began to stop working after turning on the computer. I would have to disconnect and reconnect it. Sometimes I had lines all over the screen, especially when switching from full screen to windowed mode in apps.

Pros
  • Electronics
Cons
  • Doubtful purchase for the elderly

Asus B550-I don't have a dedicated USB-C- Connection for the display, and to use a 144Hz monitor it must be connected to USB-C: it's really a bi-directional display cable, not a uni-directional one.
