This cable is not designed for the 3.0 port on my Asus Crosshair Hero IV AM4 motherboard. The problem is that the orientation of the cable causes the entire cable to run inward towards the motherboard. Well, that won't be a problem for some motherboards, but it essentially defeats the purpose of keeping everything organized and tidy. Be sure to check the USB 3.0 connector orientation and make sure the cable is routed at the correct angle. On my Supermicro motherboard, the notch is on the inside of the board, which allows the cables to run at right angles to the center of the board and not to the side. If they make a right angle and face the other way, I would buy it. As for the build quality and the looks of the cable, it's fantastic.
