Why would you buy anything else?

Well, to tell you Cambros are great is like telling you the air is good to breathe. If you want something airtight and space-efficient in your square cabinets and where you can see the level and identity of the contents, buy Cambro. I save, therefore I'm a Cambro.

Pros
  • One year trial
Cons
  • Something else

Very good quality, best in container sets

I returned it because I prefer a larger size when I want to cook something more than usual like ribs or roasts. I order Rubbermaid 12 qt and Camwear is thicker which I really like. But Camwear is more expensive and that would be too expensive for me as I also wanted a matching cap. So I decided to leave Rubbermaid. However, I recommend Camwear 8-qt to anyone cooking small meals. It has a very small footprint on the counter.

Pros
  • Quick change
Cons
  • Definitely bad product

Great for sous vide

I bought this reservoir to use with an Anova submersible circulator and it is a great reservoir for this purpose because: * Inexpensive * Lightweight * Small footprint which means I have a minimal Fill line on mine Circulation for less overall water* Fairly well insulated* Transparent so I can easily see what's going on at my cook* Includes lid to prevent water loss through evaporation Overall, a sous vide container has everything I need.

Pros
  • Everything great!
Cons
  • This makes me angry

Great for sous vide! Good quality material - easy to clean

I bought a 12 liter box to use for sous vide cooking with an Anova submersible circulator. The top rim/edges of this box are great as they don't have a big lip making it very easy to attach the Anova clamp anywhere in the box (corner or side). The plastic is very transparent, the contents of the box are clearly visible. The handles are large and make it easy to lift a box full of water to carry to different areas of my kitchen where I want to cook and pour it out when I'm done. It's just the…

NOT FOOD SAFE

I didn't think I had to read reviews for something like this but I did. It contains BPA which is NOT food safe. The description above states that it can be used for "storing food". However, if you scroll down to the details, it states that it contains BPA and is not recommended for food use. So the descriptions contradict each other. The product has a BPA warning label. You can use it for sous vide or sealed food storage, but I wouldn't let food come in direct contact with it for storage…

Pros
  • As everything before
Cons
  • Expandable

Great containers, no replacement

I love these storage containers and have them in a variety of sizes. Please note that at least one of the sellers listed here is shipping non-Cambro branded products. I didn't realize this until I was moving things around the pantry and noticed that some had handles and some didn't. Substitutes have grips, Cambros don't. They are about the same size and appear to fit the same lids, but check for the Cambro brand on the bottom of the container upon receipt. In the photo, the ones with handles…

Pros
  • Handy item
Cons
  • Expensive insurance

Ideal container for the fermentation phase when making homemade bread.

A week before the holidays I got into sourdough baking. Inspired by Chad Robertson's Tartine Bread, I turned country bread into crispbread that looked and tasted so good they've become coveted Christmas gifts for friends and family. Baking this type of bread required a few new tools that I wasn't aware of before. This container is one such tool. Not only does it keep the dough in the bulk proofing phase, but the markings on the side let you see how much the dough is stretching during the 4-5…

Pros
  • Inspires confidence
Cons
  • Not fashionable

Have wanted one for years, never had to wait.

I don't know why I waited so long to get it. When I first started salting meat years ago, I bought large ziplock plastic bags, hoping they wouldn't leak (out of nowhere), and put them in a pot in the fridge. Then I would have to throw them away when I'm done. I finally gave up and gave up on two of them and they are so useful and comfy. I've had them for about 5 months now and they're holding up well. I bought: Cambro (SFC6451) Lids for Camsquares® 6 and 8 liter polycarbonate food containers…
